Dr. Dakhari is a clinical psychologist with expertise within the subfield of pediatric psychology.  She specializes in the assessment and treatment of individuals with emotional, social, and behavioral challenges, learning difficulties, developmental delays, and chronic illness and/or complex medical conditions.  Dr. Dakhari also greatly enjoys consulting with schools and medical professionals.  She has provided psychological services while co-located within offices of pediatricians, has completed formal training in integrated primary care, and currently provides consultation-liaison services to Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital & Medical Daycare Center and Voorhees Pediatric Facility. 

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Dakhari has a passion for helping individual clinicians and group practices to build practices that thrive.  She is a partner of The Practice Institute, a consultation firm focused on guiding providers at every stage of practice building to create fulfilling and successful practices.  

Dr. Dakhari’s professional experience has included training at various hospitals, such as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, behavioral health clinics, and specialty centers such as the respected Emory Autism Center.  Dr. Dakhari has participated in a NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health)-funded Asthma research project and has worked with children with a variety of health-related challenges.  She trained as a behavioral health consultant for Delaware’s statewide early intervention service program for infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities, served as an adjunct psychology professor, and has co-authored an article published in the Head Start Bulletin: Mental Health issue on identifying Post Traumatic Stress in young children. 

Dr. Dakhari has served on the panel of expert reviewers for Nemours KidsHealth.org.  She greatly enjoyed her previous service in the roles of Vice President on the Executive Board of the South Jersey Psychological Association as well as President of the Early Career Special Interest Group of the New Jersey Psychological Association.   She is honored to have received a Member Recognition Award in 2014 from the New Jersey Psychological Association for her advocacy work with colleagues at the US Capitol.
