Meet Kelly N. Moore, PsyD

Kelly N. Moore, PsyD is a licensed clinical psychologist in New Jersey & Pennsylvania and received extensive clinical training and supervision working with adults, children, and families. Dr. Moore specializes in Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) for PTSD, Exposure and Response Prevention (EX/RP) for OCD, and Trauma-Focused CBT for children with a sexual abuse history. Dr. Moore also has expertise in cognitive-behavioral treatment for social anxiety, panic disorder, specific phobias, generalized anxiety, and postpartum onset disorders.

Dr. Moore received her Bachelors of Science Degree in Human Development from Cornell University, a Masters of Science in Education degree in Psychological Services from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Doctorate of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University. Dr. Moore completed her predoctoral psychology internship at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care (formerly University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)) in the Department of Psychiatry’s Child Therapeutic Day School and Office of Prevention Research. Following completion of her doctorate, Dr. Moore completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Anxiety.

Dr. Moore has served as a study therapist on a National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)-funded study on treatment of OCD for individuals using medication, and a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)-funded study on treatment of PTSD and smoking cessation. She has also served as a project coordinator for the dissemination of evidence-based assessment and treatment of trauma in a City of Philadelphia initiative, and helped to evaluate and develop an Adult Trauma Program at one of Philadelphia’s community mental health centers.

Dr. Moore joined Dakhari Psychological Services in 2015 and is currently a part-time staff psychologist in the practice. Dr. Moore also serves as a Program Manager for Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care on a Trauma Assessment Project with New Jersey’s Department of Children and Families. She has also taught courses in Psychology at Camden County College, given numerous workshops and trainings on issues related to trauma and evidence based treatments for anxiety disorders in children and adults. Dr. Moore is also a contributing writer for South Jersey MOM Magazine.
