Dr. Dakhari is a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Delaware and New Jersey. Her specialty is within the subfield of pediatric psychology. As a Pediatric Psychologist, Dr. Dakhari’s expertise is in the assessment and treatment of children with behavioral and social-emotional challenges, learning and developmental delays, and chronic medical conditions.

Dr. Dakhari received her Bachelor’s degree from Duke University and her Doctorate degree from the Georgia School of Professional Psychology. She completed a year-long predoctoral psychology internship at the A. I. duPont Hospital for Children (AIDHC) and two postdoctoral specialization years at AIDHC as well.

Dr. Dakhari’s professional experience includes work at the Emory Autism Center in Atlanta, Georgia and work in behavioral health outpatient clinics and hospital settings. She participated in a NIMH (National Institute of Mental Health)-funded Asthma research project and worked with children with various health related challenges. She served as a behavioral health consultant for Delaware’s statewide early intervention service program for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or disabilities and worked with schools and parents to facilitate student academic and behavioral functioning.

Now in private practice, Dr. Dakhari enjoys teaching children, parents, professionals, and students. She conducts workshops and talks on a various topics and has been noted on the KidsHealth Panel of Expert Reviewers Nemours website KidsHealth. Dr. Dakhari also teaches undergraduate courses in Child Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, and Introductory Psychology.
