Hi fellow Changemaker supporters,
I am excited to let you know about an enriching and exciting program that will be offered by Dakhari Psychological Services, LLC in the Fall. The Youth Changemakers Club, sponsored by LivingKind (www.living-kind.org), a national nonprofit, will not only benefit students but also contribute positively to our community.
Youth Changemakers Clubs (YCC) aim to give young people ways to tap into their compassion and empathy and execute projects that make a positive difference. The club will provide students with an opportunity to learn about issues they care about and foster teamwork and social-emotional learning skills. They may be able to earn funds to help them bring their projects to fruition. The YCC will enhance the overall learning experience and promote a sense of community among the students.
Here at Dakhari Psychological Services, the YCC is open to students in 6th through 10th grades. Interested students can attend one of two information sessions, which will take place in person at Dakhari Psychological Services on Tuesday, September 8th from 7:00-8:00pm and September 18th from 5:00-6:00pm.
The program will meet weekly from October 4th – November 22nd at 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Meetings will be held at Dakhari Psychological Services, LLC, located at 128 Bortons Landing Road, Moorestown, NJ 08054. Students working toward accruing community service hours will be provided with documentation of their time in the program.
While the YCC is hosted by Dakhari Psychological Services, led by a licensed psychologist, and will take place at the practice location; this is not a therapy group. It is a social-emotional learning group. Together, let’s inform students about this exciting and enriching opportunity to participate in acting on their values and working for positive change.
