Help Us Help Out
In all that we do, Dakhari Psychological Services, LLC, aims to help others live more fulfilling, engaging, and purposeful lives. Our Help Us Help OutSM social giving campaigns are aimed at reaching out to those around us to help create perpetual improvement. We boldly envision that our efforts can ultimately ripple across our communities and throughout the globe and firmly believe that no positive act is too small to have a profoundly positive effect. We thank you for your support as you continue to Help Us Help OutSM.
We welcome your suggestions for local community campaigns that we can support. While we may not always be able to give as much as we’d hoped – we certainly always hope that we can continue to give. Thank you for your continued support.
This year, we’re teaming up with Love For Our Elders to spread cheer and fight isolation through letter-writing. With your help, our aim is to send 1000 letters. It’s a hefty goal, but we’re confident we can nail it – TOGETHER – WE GOT THIS!
We are sooooo excited to be partnering with Soles4Souls in 2023. We are collecting gently worn shoes – any size, any stye, any brand! Go big or go home some say….so we are aiming for 500 pairs of shoes!!! As the Soles4Souls site says…”Why shoes? Because without them, people are vulnerable to disease and are often unable to attend school or look for work. And shoes can also empower people to build small businesses to escape poverty.” Learn more about Soles4Souls
Kids should not be hungry. No kid. No adult. No one. We felt especially compelled to participate in No Kid Hungry especially as schools and businesses began closing amid the public stay-at-home orders and kids were without school meals they had relied upon.
We thought it only fitting to shed a bit of holiday cheer and participated in this wonderful toy drive once again. Read about Emmanuel’s Toy Drive.
We routinely provide services in hospitals and have witnessed firsthand the joy that the freedom to ‘just be a kid’ and enjoy coloring can bring. We proudly supported The Crayon Initiative while you cleared your backpacks, pencil cases, and art supply cases of crayons that could use well…a remanufacturing. We continue to collect and donate crayons and yes – have even seen their signature crayon box in one of our local children’s hospital. Full circle. How wonderful is that!
Collecting toys to donate was such a pleasure for this wonderful toy drive. In fact we decided on a repeat for this event and collected again in 2019! This heartwarming story never gets old. Read about Emmanuel’s Toy Drive.
We did it again!! Collecting for local youth in need was so fulfilling both for you and for us. Many patients asked us for a repeat….so we did it. Thank you. You ROCK!
Holidays can be a time of joy and family gatherings. They can also be a time of intense loneliness for our community of older adults. Thanks to you we were able to present hand created cards for Valentine’s Day to a local assisted living facility.
Collecting over 200 pair of jeans in our waiting room was quite a sight to see!! We have YOU to thank for that. In collaboration with DoSomething.org we were able to collect over 200 pairs of jeans that went to local youth experiencing homelessness.
It was such a pleasure to collect clothing for this organization. One Litte Step is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization providing movement supports, ATM classes and Feldenkrais lessons to people with special needs and the elderly & education to the public. We appreciate you for taking the time to bring us your donations.
Thank you!
Dakhari Psychological Services, LLC thanks you for your generous contributions to ‘Showers of Hope,’ our first semiannual donations drive for the Burlington County and Camden County women’s shelters. We have been collecting personal care items (i.e., toothpaste, deodorant, soap, etc.) as the shelters have informed us that these items are greatly needed and often difficult to acquire.
We’ve also heard a number of you mentioning that you’d like to bring in something and that a reminder would be helpful. Soooo…..we are extending our drive until July 21st if you’d like to drop by and bring in any personal care items for donation. Thank you again for your thoughtfulness and generosity!
With appreciation,
J. Oni Dakhari, PsyD
