Melissa Chipollini, PsyD, LPC
Dr. Chipollini is a highly skilled and experienced bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor with a doctorate in clinical psychology. She has worked with individuals, families, and groups in various inpatient and outpatient settings, using evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and culturally sensitive techniques based on trauma-informed care. Her areas of expertise include trauma, anger management, self-esteem, navigating college life, perfectionism, men’s mental health, job-related stressors, and internet addiction-based challenges.
As a bilingual therapist, Dr. Chipollini is able to communicate effectively with clients who speak Spanish as their primary language. She is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Through therapy, Dr. Chipollini works collaboratively with clients to help them achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Simultaneous to her doctoral studies, Dr. Chipollini worked as LPC in community mental health and group private practice settings, where she worked with individuals of all ages, families, and groups addressing concerns of depression, anxiety, identity/self-esteem, and immigration/acculturation stress.
Throughout her doctoral journey, Dr. Chipollini trained in a variety of settings that fortified her skillset working with individuals and groups with concerns of mood and thought disturbances, behavioral irregularities, addiction, relationship struggles, violent/sexual trauma, and legal concerns. She completed predoctoral training at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital, and Valliere & Counseling/Forensic Treatment Services. She also completed her dissertation on and gained expertise in narcissism and violent behaviors.

Dr. Chipollini is a Peruvian-born Philly girl! She loves to eat, dance, and gather, all things that keep her tied to her Hispanic/Peruvian background.
