Art Therapy in Moorestown, NJ
Creative Healing for Children, Teens & Adults
Sometimes talking helps. Sometimes creating gives you another way in.
Art therapy combines psychotherapy with creative expression to help children, teens, and adults explore what they’re feeling, understand patterns, work through difficult experiences, and develop new ways of coping.
You do not need to be artistic. You don’t need to know what to make. And you don’t have to choose between talking and creating.

Art Therapy - When Words Aren’t Quite Enough
Art therapy gives us another way to slow things down, make an experience more visible, and begin exploring it together. Sometimes the process of creating itself gives us an opportunity to practice slowing down, tolerating uncertainty, experimenting, problem-solving, handling frustration, or seeing that there may be more than one way forward.
You might draw, paint, build, use collage, work with clay or other materials, or combine creative work with conversation.
The art itself isn’t the goal.
We’re using the process to help you notice, understand, express, practice, and respond differently.

Who Might Benefit From Art Therapy?
Children
For children who may have big feelings without always having the language to explain them.
Art therapy can offer a developmentally natural way to explore worries, frustration, family changes, friendships, school stress, illness, grief, confidence, and other experiences while also building coping and emotional regulation skills.
Teens
For teens who may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, self-critical, withdrawn, or struggling with identity, relationships, or other changes.
Art therapy offers another way to explore what is happening alongside conversation. Creative expression can make it easier to notice patterns, express complicated feelings, and look at experiences from a different perspective—especially when words alone don’t quite capture it.
Adults
For adults who feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected from themselves, or caught in patterns that are becoming harder to ignore.
Creative work can offer another way to explore what’s happening, make sense of complicated experiences, and see possibilities that may be harder to reach through reflection alone.
