Tiny Tots 'n Treatment
Early intervention can help to lessen negative effects and prevent additional problems from developing.
Symptoms & Diagnosis
Even small children can have big challenges. Intervening early in the process can help to lessen negative effects and prevent additional problems from developing. Our Tiny Tots ‘n Treatment focus provides therapy for very young children, aged birth to pre-school. Clinicians providing treatment in this area have expertise that includes training in Early Intervention Programs, A. I. duPont Hospital for Children’s Behavior Consultation Clinic (for children aged 0-5yrs), and specialty training in preschools for children with autism, delayed developmental milestones, as well as NAEYC accredited programs. Other accomplishments include certificate level training in Early Childhood Education and completion of an internship in a preschool focused on educating children with special needs.
Caregivers may wonder whether to use a wait-and-see approach, hoping that problems end on their own, or to seek additional help. Research demonstrates that problems typically respond best to intervention services when they are provided early and in a developmentally appropriate fashion.
Areas of focus are not limited to include:
- Feeding difficulties
- Behavior challenges
- Sleep difficulties
- Developmental delay
- Daycare challenges
- Sibling interactions
